Meet at Bob Bear Trailhead. Hike 4 miles down into Fossil Creek Canyon. Set up camp near the crystal-clear creek. Afternoon swimming and exploration of travertine pools.
Morning swim and waterfall exploration. Photograph the stunning turquoise water. Pack up and hike out (mostly uphill) by early afternoon.
Moderate fitness required. 8.5 miles total with 1,500 ft elevation gain on exit. Must be comfortable with stream crossings.
